We are just seeing the last of the summer, suntans are fading and soon we will be in warm clothes. So this is the perfect time of year to be thinking about our bodies being treated for laser hair removal.
Why? Well firstly when the sun is out, or you are visiting sunny locations laser is not advisable. This is because the laser is so advanced that it will register the melanin (sun tan) in the skin so it will put its energy into that, rather than travelling down the hair follicle to damage the bulb, bulge and the blood supply which all encourage the hair to grow. If you are treating your skin when you have a tan you hugely increase the risk of a negative reaction, like burns, hypo pigmentation or hyper pigmentation ( either gainly dark or white patches) to name a few. Secondly in between treatments you can only either shave the skin or remove the hair with a hair removal cream. This is important so that the hair is in the follicle but below the skin surface when treating so the energy targets it successfully. If you remove the hair by other methods like waxing or threading, you pull it out from the root, stimulating the hair to grow and there will be no no target for the laser to reach . When the laser hair removal process starts, some people will find that they are more aware of there hair prior to the treatment showing the success. The length of a laser hair removal course should be between 6-8 treatments which are spaced 4-8 weeks apart. So if it’s perfection you require for the summer, now is the perfect time to start the process.
Just think hair free underarms so you can wear any top and not have that shadow under there. Legs looking smooth with no ingrown hairs, no stubble, no hiding them until they are ready to be waxed. Just ready to go whenever you want to.
Have you thought how much time you think about your hair that you don’t like on your body? How much time do you spend changing arrangements, clothes, hiding the hair, covering it up, because of it. Does it make you feel unconfident or unfeminine? Do you think that you are the only one who is hairy?
Imagine never having those thoughts…………
